Beyond VSU
Dance conferences and competitions can be pretty pricey. Between hundred-dollar registration fees, roundtrip airfares, and hotels you could be left with "less than sufficient funds".
The VSU Dance Club offers financial assistance for the American College Dance Festival (ACDF)- which has taken us to places like: Miami-FL, UGA, Emory, Richmond-VA, FSU, Wichita-KS, University of Florida, & Murfreesboro-TN.
More importantly we assist dancers who perform on a wider world stage; beyond college dance and into the professional realm. Outstanding students may be selected to tour with Professor Catherine Schaeffer and perform in summer dance festivals, dance film projects, and concerts throughout the U.S. The work we submit is usually selected and/or adjudicated by a prestigious panel. Plans are in the works for international performances in Europe for the upcoming summers.
